Thank you for reading, liking and commenting on my previous blog.. means a lot to me..

With the festive season knocking at the door, we all have this air of happiness around us.  Christmas is the best day for any kid, besides their birthday. At least for me it is. I waited all year for this day.

The last few days before the wait ended were always the “good behaviour days”. When anything and everything mom asked me to do was done perfectly without a question. After all, santa only gave gifts to the ones who behaved properly, right??

Any person who recalls those days will always relate to the decorated Christmas tree, that one fat bellied person playing the santa in the school celebrations, that one play that used to happen every year, that one rain deer dance. It was like a deja-vu every year.

Well, while every one thinks of this day in red, green and white, I think yellow. The reason being:

I was in first or second grade when I got to know that dad was the santa who gave me gifts at night. The first question that popped up in my mind was “then why do I have to wait for a whole year for the gifts when I stay with the santa?”

At that time there was only 1 week left for Christmas, and the agenda that topped my list was to get a fluffy yellow tweety bag that I saw in the store the other day.

Generally dad used to ask me what I wanted from santa 2 days before the Christmas eve every year.  But, this year I knew where the gift was coming from and the shop not being close by I told dad my wish list a whole week before the eve.

I successfully got the bag that year and continued the trend for a few more years. I guess, I was the only kid who did not want to grow up. Maybe if dad reads this blog, my secret is out. Sorry dad... :P

I don’t know where the bag is now. But I will always remember that one very bag.

I will be keen to know any memories or stories you have related to Christmas.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
