To start with.... I have not actually thought of a beginning...
This blog is not a tutorial for drawing cartoons. Neither it is to explain them..
Some one once told me, that the day you need to explain what your drawing means you better stop drawing... To ponder about it. its not as harsh as it sounds. Every drawing has a meaning or an expression or a mood to convey. Its not always same to all people. Something like, if i draw a man with a huge scar on his face.. some may think he was a soldier, a savior and the mark is that of pride that he gained during battling for the right.. On the other hand because of his gruesome appearance some may think he is a negative character.. a villain and the mark is the punishment of his bad deeds.
Above all, the artist might have thought the character to be a good man with a harsh past who has chosen path of the evil to survive.
Well, that was a lot of detail at one shot. In brief, in this blog I will share my cartoons, some original from the scratch some influenced by the existing ones, but all drawn by me. There are no bounds for you to perceive it the way I do...
Frankly I am not an artist. I did take drawing lessons when I was young, but because of the shifting nature of my dad's job I couldn't continue it at one place and had to start from scratch when I switched my classes, and finally left because of the immense academic pressure.
Out of my boredom during class one day, I sketched a random cartoon from somewhere. That's when I realized that it actually gives me a breath of fresh air. And then on I continued.
This is the first sketch I made.
My side of the story about this cartoon leads me back to my first friend on this planet. He is a day older to me, and we have grown up together. He is like a brother from another mother.
So, we had pet names that I kept at the age of around 3. I called him boro shaap (big snake) and he called me choto shaap (small snake). I have not heard anything weirder than this. But yes, I created it... :P
So this drawing was in those fond memories of our child hood. I don't think snakes could be a fond memory to any other child on the planet. :P
You are welcome to comment and share anything that comes to your mind seeing this cartoon...
